Scientific name: Pilea Peperomioides
Sold in a 7.5cm, 10cm and 12.5cm nursery pot.
Light: The Pilea prefers bright indirect light. Be sure to rotate the plant regularly as it's leaves will tend to grow towards the sun. Also dust the leaves often so the plant can photosynthesize efficiently.
Water: Water the plant sparingly being sure to allow the soil to dry out between watering. Drooping leaves is an indication that the plant is thirsty or sick. Yellow leaves with soft stems indicate that over-watering has occurred.
Fertilizer: Feed your Pilea once a month in summer with organic fertilizer. Also feed the plant when you notice the growth of new baby plants. Don't feed in winter.
Please note that these plants require regular watering. For this reason we only dispatch these orders on a Monday and Tuesday (to areas outside of Cape Town) so that the plants do not risk spending the weekend at the courier depot.
